Support our mission to advance mental health and substance use reform
Your support fuels our work to expand behavioral health care for Californians who need it most. Every contribution — big or small — helps us:
Advance systems reform through advocacy: Pass critical policies that aim to reduce incarceration, hospitalization, and homelessness for Californians living with serious mental illness.
Produce independent, solutions-driven research: Deliver rigorous research to inform policies based on solid data that fixes what’s broken and scales what’s working in our systems of care.
Ensure effective policy implementation: Make sure statewide solutions work in communities of every size.
Whether you choose a monthly recurring gift or a one-time donation, your investment will help ensure that mental health and substance use care is available for all Californians, when and where they need it.
Make a lasting commitment to mental health and substance use care reform
Today, too many Californians with serious mental illnesses and substance use disorders are cycling through our city streets, hospital emergency rooms and jail cells. At the same time, our behavioral health workforce is overwhelmed and understaffed, hospitals are overcrowded and our criminal justice system is dealing with a challenge it isn’t built for.
Vision 2030 is our plan to change that. This initiative aims to reduce hospitalization, incarceration, and homelessness by half for people with behavioral health conditions — and build the workforce to make it possible — by the year 2030.
Become an official Vision 2030 Partner to help make these goals a reality. Your monthly gift will fuel our research, advocacy, and implementation work to ensure care is available to every Californian, when and where it’s needed.
Vision 2030 Partners receive exclusive benefits, including gifts, early access to Steinberg Institute events, quarterly debriefs, policy briefings, and more — plus the knowledge that you’re part of building a future where recovery and dignity are possible for all.
